Product description

iO Phoebus is the latest exciting design from MAKER. Crafted in New Zealand. Phoebus named after the largest ring of Saturn, is a fully integrated LED Pendant.

It’s the glorious proportions that make this pendant quite the showstopper. Being 1.2 meters wide but super sleek at 200mm deep makes this piece very versatile even in lower stud heights.

This is the first Fully Integrated LED Pendant from MAKER – meaning a beautiful consistent glow of light right around the entire Pendant. The LED Light is directed outwards and inwards, is dimmable and available in three different light colour temperatures.

Beautifully handmade by the amazing Mat MacMillan in Tauranga.

- Diffuser is made from Japanese Shoji paper (this can be removed easily if you prefer)

LED lighting:
- 14 watts and dimmable.
- Choose from 2700K - Soft White = Relaxing, Calming, Inviting, Vintage Style, 3000K - Warm White = Calming, Friendly, Inviting or 4000K - Cool White = Bright, Clean, Crisp, Vibrant.
- Comes with a driver that needs to be housed either in the ceiling or nearby (details under the Documents Tab).

Cord & Suspension:
- Cord is transparent.
- 5 x suspension cables come with suspended ceiling anchors in chrome.
- Standard cord and suspension length is 1 metre.
- Extra is charged at $35.00 per metre.

AS/NZS compliant - Must be installed by a registered Electrician.

Mat MacMillan

MAKER’s Mat Macmillan has a high regard for traditional hand skills dating back to his apprenticeship to North London carpenter and cabinetmaker Frank Pohorley. Frank’s working methods, rooted in the 1930’s, now represent a bygone era and ethic. Joints were all marked and cut by hand and chisels and irons sharpened on an old India stone.

Trained in carpentry, joinery and shop fitting, Mat blends his respect for traditional skills with a long-standing interest in design. He brings the lasting quality of the past into contemporary mixed media pieces to meet and challenge a new era.

MAKER is about exploring top-end design, aesthetics and materials and bringing them together with meticulous craftsmanship.
