Because these shades are custom made to order....You cannot return for a credit or refund unless they are faulty. Because of the fragile nature of these shades they cannot be shipped to a rural address. Please nominate a 'town' delivery address.

Beautifully handmade by the amazing Mat MacMillan in Tauranga.

Materials:
- Plywood
- Diffuser is made from Japanese Shoji paper (this can be removed easily If you prefer)

Suspension:
- You can purchase the shade with a single lamp holder suspension set. This includes the 3 steel suspension cables attached to the shade, a single lamp holder, electrical cord and a ceiling rose to attach the cord and cables to.
- OR you can purchase the shade with triple lamp holder suspension set. This includes the 3 steel suspension cables attached to the shade, a triple splitter lamp holder (you will need 3 bulbs), electrical cord and a ceiling rose to attach the cord and cables to.
The above suspension fittings are available in either Black or White, and up to a length of 5 metres. Please choose your preferences from the drop down options. The ceiling rose supplied with the suspension is 110mm wide.
Your electrician will assemble on site.
PLEASE NOTE: It is not recommended to hang this shade closer than 1 metre to the ceiling, as the tight angles of the suspension wire will put extra tension on the shade and can damage it. It is possible to hang it at shorter lengths, but alternative suspension methods are needed. Please contact info@mrralph.co.nz if you want more information.

THESE SHADES MUST HAVE THEIR PENDANT SETS CONSTRUCTED AND INSTALLED BY A REGISTERED ELECTRICIAN.

MAKER’s Mat Macmillan has a high regard for traditional hand skills dating back to his apprenticeship to North London carpenter and cabinetmaker Frank Pohorley. Frank’s working methods, rooted in the 1930’s, now represent a bygone era and ethic. Joints were all marked and cut by hand and chisels and irons sharpened on an old India stone.

Trained in carpentry, joinery and shop fitting, Mat blends his respect for traditional skills with a long-standing interest in design. He brings the lasting quality of the past into contemporary mixed media pieces to meet and challenge a new era.

MAKER is about exploring top-end design, aesthetics and materials and bringing them together with meticulous craftsmanship.
