The soft diffused light through the matt opal glass shade is amazing. 

Our big dott wall light has had an impressive upgrade, the same simple shape but is now IP44 rated, so can be used in even more areas, like bathrooms and outdoors under your eaves. 

Big dott can be used either wall or ceiling mounted just about anywhere - bedside, bathroom, living space, hallways, kitchens or outdoors under cover.

Bathroom Lighting Zones and Regulations...

There is a highly technical aspect to bathroom lighting, because of the need to comply with wet area regulations. Bathroom lighting must have an approved IP rating and be legally installed by an electrician, so Mr Ralph ALWAYS insists on guidance from your electrician.

Mr Ralph's range of lights suitable for bathrooms and outdoors have options rated from IP20 through to IP65. But what is an IP-rating all about?

An IP (Ingress Protection) rating consists of two digits.

  • 1st digit: Protection against ingress of solids.
  • 2nd digit: Protection against ingress of liquids.
