Recently my team and I had the pleasure of spending a wonderful evening in our Gordonton Studio with the extraordinary Mat McMillan, founder of Maker Design Studio and creator behind the iO Collection.
Mr Ralph has had a special relationship with Mat and his iO collection of lighting since 2014, Mat’s products have grown and developed so much over the last 10 years. They work in every space, and what we love the most is the timelessness of the range and its simple, organic, calm beauty.
We asked Mat about his journey from creating the first iO product, his design process, sustainability, collaborations, his love of design and meticulous attention to detail, the name iO? and what he loves most about Maker Design.
