The team at EXPOL have set up a Household Polystyrene Recycling Programme - a free service available at selected hardware stores nationwide. Developed with the specific intention to give consumers a place to deposit their polystyrene waste, EXPOL then repurposes the polystyrene into a selection of products which includes StyroDrain, QuickDrain, UnderFloor and ThermaSlab. A true closed loop life manufacturing process.
To be repurposed, the polystyrene must be clean, have no food residue, dirt, stickers or glue. Up to two rubbish bags are accepted at a time.
While this service is not available in all areas yet, an increasing number of hardware stores are taking up the offer to become Collection Points. EXPOL updates this on their website: www.expolearth.co.nz
